 Preserving the Past

Preservation Hall has been actively finding and providing architectural components from old homes and buildings since the late 1980's. The initial efforts were focused on locating and preserving quality architectural products in Western North Carolina. This effort grew into interaction with homeowners, builders, architects, designers and contractors along with entrepreneurs that incorporated the unique items from the inventory into their own businesses.

In 1999 the business was moved into a restored historic building in downtown Weaverville, North Carolina, approximately 7 miles north of Asheville.

In the fall of 2001 Darcy & Capri Willis purchased the business. We continue to focus on providing the finest architectural items for use in new construction or building renovation. We have also found that people utilize these wonderful items in smaller projects, just to incorporate "new" elements in their lives.

Our mission is targeted on preserving the past. We are now including focus on our heritage and culture, featuring pieces made by artisans from the Western North Carolina area. Many of these artists have received recognition at juried regional and national Fine Art competitions. Items offered include art "reborn" from old metals and wood. Home, garden and business are all destinations for each pieces new life.
