Art and Architecture at Preservation Hall

Inside Preservation HallWe carry a large selection of antique and vintage materials salvaged from old homes and commercial buildings dating from the mid 1800's. These include mantles, doors, stained glass, windows, plumbing fixtures, light fixtures, door and window frames, ironwork, glass doorknobs, hardware and more. Our broad selection of salvage goods are both decorative and functional. Use them for "new" accents in your home, garden or office decor. They make wonderful gifts for antique lovers among your family and friends. Now located in our new location on North Main Street in Weaverville, North Carolina, please contact us if you are looking for an antique or vintage item of specific size or shape - chances are, we have it available and waiting for you!

The Western North Carolina area is home to many artists and craftspeople - folk & traditional as well as modern. In addition to our antiques and vintage salvage items, we are proud to offer arts and crafts from some of the finest designers in the region - works that capture the heritage, culture and fine craftsmanship of the mountains.

Artworks range from folk and traditional styles to modern art and sculpture in paintings, pottery, glass, copper and ironwork, natural wood furniture, baskets, textiles, jewelry and more. Each piece is handcrafted, made with natural materials and employing the skills handed down to us from our mountain pioneers. Many of our artworks are produced by members of the highly-regarded and very demanding Southern Highlands Craft Guild. Please see our Gallery page for examples.
