What's New at Preservation Hall: Summer 2009Spring is definitely here! The azaleas & rhododendrons are blooming & the trees are leafed out. We are also receiving some much needed rain after two years of drought. Our neighborhood bear hasn’t shown up this spring, so he must have enough food without having to deconstruct our birdfeeder again. The Weaverville Art Safari was a success; we had visitors from TN, GA, VA along with various areas in NC. Buzz Henline’s handcrafted wood toys were a huge success and our inventory was depleted. Ever since the Asheville Citizen-Times newspaper article on Buzz, his work has been in demand and we’re fortunate he fit us into his work schedule. We’re happy to say that Buzz just delivered us a great selection of his wonderful toys. Most are articulated with pulls, but we do have others too.
We continue to search for wonderful architectural pieces for your consideration (without the prices found in big cities). Also, our gallery of regional artwork reflects the diverse talent in the area, and it is affordably priced. Whether you are building, restoring or just looking for some character architectural items, please give us a call to see if we can help you with your project. Remember to check out MyWeaverville.com; it’s a great site that keeps you current on our local events. We hope that you have a wonderful start to the summer - come visit us when you can. |
